I eat the hell out of the 'California Burger' Garden Burgers...
I would totally be a vegetarian if I didn't like meat so much.
Lots of vegetarian meals go down my gullet. |

For my veggie friends:
Food processor or lots o' chopping:
garlic, ginger, onion, anaheim pepper, chilies, cilantro, and whatever veggies are in the fridge- even some mint or kaffir lime leaves...even a mango, but add some brown sugar. Turmeric, cumin, salt, pepper and whatever else (Got garam masala?)
Sautee that all up - making a base
Choose your own adventure:
Choice 1: Add Tofu chunks for a bit, then some coconut milk till boiling - keep stirring. Instant coconut curry...if rice is ready.
Choice 2: Add Tofu chunks for a bit, then like half a stick of butter (Or Ghee) and tomato sauce- like a regular sized can. If anything too strong, add more butter or some plain yogurt (Indian preferred). Stop by Trader Joes for their Naan bread.
Choice 3: Hit the Indian store and buy paneer (Indian Cheese) - use instead of tofu and melt down a shitload of spinach...add some butter while you're at it...or you should now have ghee. Shit if you have cashews throw that it too - or process it back at the start too.
There's no real science to either...throw the shit together and you can tell what else you may need as it gets done. Kind of no fail... |
