I'm a hotsauce fanatic, I've tasted all the mega hots and the insane-just-for-show sauces.
I'd like to suggest a mustard sauce that I love on any meat, it's called "Crazy Jerry's Mustard Gas"
it's excellent.
BUT
If you want to hurt yourself, and everyone in a 3 block radius, I'd suggest Blair's 16 Million Reserve. It's crystalized because I don't think there's a liquid that could hold it.
16000000 SHU. Yes, no typo, Sixteen Million Scoville Heat Units.
100% pure capsacin. I've tried it, and I was vomiting in seconds.
for the record, I can handle quite hot sauce, anything in the half million or less, I can eat plain. Blair's is INSANE. You have been warned.

yeah, but it's amazing. imagine how little you'd actually use though. The crystals are really small, but pack a punch like getting kicked in the nuts by a mule. I couldn't resist buying some, it's a conversation piece that never gets old...especially when added to the mother-in-law's chili for the church potluck. :> haha.
there's a special place reserved in hell for me. |

Here's a simple salsa recipe anyone can make and has awesome flavor. My wife insists on having in the frig. at all times.
Simple Salsa
 cup oil
10 Chiles Arboles
2 Tomatoes
 cup Canned tomato Sauce
 teaspoon Salt
Heat the oil in a small cast iron pan and fry the chiles in it until they are a deep, burnished red. Remove to paper towels and blot off oil. While the chiles are cooling, broil the tomatoes about 5 minutes, turning once. Remove cores and most of the skin. stem chiles and break pods into pieces. Place the tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt and chiles in a food processor; process until chiles are broken up into small, dark flecks. Use for tacos and over eggs, anything really.
Enjoy! |
