I know that most folks will claim McD's as the worst, but, I gotta disagree. I'm thinkin' Arby's. Grey-assed "roast beef"?  The greasiest buns on the planet (and for no apparent reason.). Generally the filthiest dining rooms known to man (Only Church's Chicken puts up a decent claim to the throne of disgusting dining rooms.) If I bottled Arby's sauce, changed the name and claimed it was "barbecue sauce" like they do, I'd be stripped of my clothes, kicked in the dangler and run out of town. Horseradish mayo, while generally delicious should not be some sort of fame-inducing wunderkondiment.
Curly fries? So fucking what. It's 2008, not 1986. Potato cakes? How bout we find a vein and hot-shot some crisco.
And, I wouldn't even feed an Arby's breakfast to someone who had raped me. |

i agree on all accounts except that i like arby's.
i'm gonna say miami subs. i know the place is on a some-what national level, so maybe you guys have been to one.
they used to be good, very good in fact, then they did the whole "all-in-one" thing with arthur treachers, baskin robbins, and some other name (kenny roger's roasters?!) and the place just went down hill.
it's a total shit hole now, quality of food is horrible, dirty restaurants, horrible service, it goes on.....
last time i ate there the manager came to the register to take people's orders and he was wearing flip-flops!!!!!!

Nathan's Hot Dogs is the fourth or fifth horseman of the Miami Scrubs apocalypse.
I dig their gyro. It's impossible to find a decent gyro in this city and theirs isn't bad. For some reason I'm also inexplicably drawn to their tuna pita melt. I'm well aware that the tuna salad is probably a week old, yet I order and eat it anyway. Haven't died yet.
When I lived in Chapel Hill, I ran delivery for Jimmy John's (another sub shop with a considerably more streamlined menu) and we were "rivals" with the Miami Scrubs shop. Lots of dirty pool going back and forth between the owners. I always cracked up at the fact that Miami Scrubs (at least at the Chapel Hill location) always had a few bottles of Dom Perignon on ice. I have to imagine that the only people that ever bought those were drunk, rich college kids looking to show off when buying grub after the bars closed.
Hmm. Worst fast food. I'm going to have to think about that. I definitely think every chain has terrible locations and better locations though. In fact, the country Whopper is far, far superior to the Whopper found in any sort of 50,000+ metropolitan area.
Off the top of my head, the obvious worst is Krystal. |

The Krystal craving hits me hard about twice a year. I'm fine after that. I don't think that it's gross, per se, but, it's just not necessary for regular rotation. Unlike Taco Bell, to which I am hopelessly addicted. Every time they introduce a new menu item, I have no choice but to go directly to Taco Bell and fork over my money. I know that it's garbage. Delicious, delicious garbage. |

i'm gonna give dominoes credit for one thing and one thing only, creative marketing, specifically the 30 minute pizza.
check this out......
as many of you know domino's used to have the 30 minutes or it's free guarantee. they stopped doing it due to lawsuits from people involved in car accidents with domino's driver's rushing to meet the 30 minute dead line.
update today and domino's new "you got 30 minutes" advertising. it appears they are saying that you'll have your pizza in 30 minutes, but if you read between the lines they are basically saying "your gonna wait 30 minutes!"
it's genius!!!! basically turning it around and making you think "wow, i'll have a pizza in 30 minutes!", when they are really telling you "hey, man you gotta wait 30 minutes!"
before they guaranteed the pizza to you in under 30 minutes and today they are telling you that you gotta wait 30 minutes, yet the perception is the same!!!
i can call my local pizza place, be down there pick the pizza and be back home in less than 30 minutes!!!
so yeah, basically domino's sucks, but they got a great marketing team! |

Arby's is pretty bomb dude. I go there every once in a blue moon.
So is jack in the crack. I gotta get my Tommy burger on once in a while as well.
But ya, fast food is shit in general. Some of the stuff looks better on the way out than in   |
