I've been going to Mr. Pickles lately (Mortadella, Provelone, Italian dressing and the works on a sweet roll), but sometimes I'll hit Subway for the $5 foot long (Spicy Italian or Cold Cut Combo on Italian herb and cheese). Depends on my mood and my wallet. |

there are obviously a ton better sandwich places, chain or local.. this post is about subway.
they arent great but a footlong for $5 they're finally priced right.
Togo's is better but in my 31 years of life i've only ever eaten the #9 on wheat(rye when they had it) with mustard, pickles, lettuce pepperoncinis and american cheese.
Quizno's can blow me! |

thank you. this thread IS about subway. Subway sucks. if a piece of shit were only five bucks that makes it good? I think I'd rather pay more to get a decent sangwich. dont get me wrong, I've eaten there plenty of times and it will do in a pinch. I might go there before I hit some out of the way deli I've never been to.
my togo's is the large number eight on a white center-cut bun with chedder, lettuce, tomato, mayo. get chips and a coke with it for about $8.50
quizno's is absolutly the worst sandwich EVER.
If I want to get full and only have five bucks I make a run for the border.
I'm having a jimmy dean egg, cheese, sausage, biscuit right now. six for $8 |

yea togo's is all about the pastrami. nothing else there is really worth it ( i dont know what a #8 is rick)
but yea, any real deli blows it out of the water. Tony's next to Safeway on alhambra is pretty consistent. nothing special but its just a good ol liquor store deli.
Genova is really good too.
damn i want a sandwich now.
i still like subway every once in a while tho. |

It was a local sadwich chain in Austin when I was living there, I think (may be wrong) there are shops in Dallas and Houston, or somewhere else.
They are really good.
Subway does a decent job but last time I had one Jared was running around in the comercials. |
