USPS is usually cheaper for smaller items & UPS is a bit better with odd shaped & bigger, heavier items.(It helps if you have a business account to get cheaper rates)
I THINK USPS usually goes by a combined size(length, height & width) but since a snowboard is more than 70"(?) long its considered an odd shape item that costs more or better yet, they wont even accept it!  
So go with UPS. & make sure you take their phone # & email as well. You'll need it. |

i'm usually charged for 40 bucks for a skateboard...
snowboards are heavier, sooooooo... |

Wait! I forgot you had bindings as well! Which means it won't be in a long board box but a big box. + it'll weigh a little more. Hope I'm overcompensating  |

get ready to bend over a grab your ankles...shipping overseas is horrible these days and UPS is the last way you should ever think about shipping... sent 5 boards to Skull Skates japan last week...99 bucks usps and that is the cheapest(Satoshi rules..not complaining about him in this email).. and on top of that once the box leaves the last stop before it heads overseas...you cant track it. you might be lucky to see that its in customs where it might sit for months(recieving multiple pissed off emails from the buyers..wanting you to contact customs..do this do that)  I can see nowadays why most guys dont want to deal with overseas shipping..its just to brutal..
Im bitter though I had a box with over a 1000 dollars worth of tattoo machines get lost on its way to denmark...the teller didnt give me the reciept as they thought the customs declaration was enough and once I put in a claim...usps told me I was out of luck as I did not have the reciept.. after months of stress the box luckily just turned up on this guys door step...

Horror stories. I won a promotional Jager snowboard from France a few years ago(?) & the shipping was quoted at around $75. Well, a day after I paypal the dude demands that I pay another $75 cuz he miscalculated & the total was $150!  |
