LA BBQ,

So I just moved to Long Beach and can't find where the meat falls off the bone - some shitholes in Gardena and LGB. Anywhere worth a venture?

If you go to Etnies to skate, afterwords go to Kill Devil Dogs (i think thats the name) it's one exit farther south on the 5 on the east side of the fwy. Killer pulled pork sandwich.
If your up in LA you have to go to JR's Barbecue on LaCienega about a mile south of the 10 Fwy. Best hot links in town
The Valley has Ribs USA in Burbank which is good but Rosies in Northridge is killer.
Yes i have a pretty good knowledge of BBQ joints and I have the gut to prove it

I don't think Ribs USA is that good. The best BBQ joint in the valley, and probably in LA is Doctor Hogly Wogly's Tyler Texas BBQ in Van Nuys (?).

You just missed Meat Week 2008, which is a BBQ-a-thon held every year in different cities across the country.

Yeah Ribs USA is okay in a pinch but certainly not the best in town. I'm partial to hot links and they have a pretty good hotlink sandwich hotdog kind of thing. After reading your post though, I just made plans to hit this Hogly Wogly that you speak of. Beer & BBQ Friday night, that will get me through the monday thru friday healthy living crap im doing right now.

Missed meat week here...had all bbq joints in seattle on lockdown. Have hit Jay Bees a few times - night and all...work right there.

Had the tip of the Inglewood bad to the bone place - will have to give it a try. Some church place become bbq joint too...
