I want CJ to get the boot, not because I don't like him (he's probably my top pick), but because I want him to break a beer bottle on his fake nut in front of the judge's table.
I dunno if anyone caught that episode, but CJ has a fake testicle after losing one to cancer. It's made of teflon or something, and to scare frat guys at college parties, he used to whip it out and hammer away on it with a beer bottle until the bottle broke. |

I did catch that, and appreciate its awesomeness. Nonetheless, I think that guy's a raging 'bag, maybe even a 'bag and a half.
I don't really like anyone now but Casey, and she's no Top Chef. Tre should still be there, period. |

Yeah, the talent pool is just too shallow right now. None of them are truly impressive chefs.
The winner of this one couldn't hold a candle to Harold, IMHO.
Casey should pose for Playboy, but that's another show. |

Woot! Or how 'bout a double shoot with Casey and the other hot chick who was eliminated and who's name escapes me?
Or why not through Padma and Gail in there too, hell, make it a "Women of Top Chef" spread. |

so the Sultan of Sweat is finally done. I mean, he was only on the chopping block, what...13 times? And then shooting his mouth off no less. Like we talked about in another thread, put people in front of the camera and they're either themselves or turn into "the asshole".
He seems like an OK dude but if Brian does one more tartare, I am going to put my foot through the TV.
Harold, Tiffany, Steven, Sam, Cliff (you dumbass, I'm still disappointed about that) all would wipe up the floor with any of these contestants. I had high hopes to see some really innovative dishes this season but episode to episode, I see zero creativity, lack of focus and my favorite.......WHEN THEY DON'T TASTE WHAT THEY ARE SERVING.
I make 'Easy Mac n Cheese' for the son-to-be and test the macaroni to make sure it's cooked enough. HEL-LO! |

the 7 foot tall raging 'bag is done. See what happens when you cook something inedible?
D O N E.
Kiss of death.
I severely enjoyed having the covers pulled back on Casey & running around in her robe. I really need to get some soon.
Bourdain HAS to be on the jury next season full time. Ted Allen can go do his "other" Bravo show (I don't mind him, but you never know what comment is gonna come out of Tony's mouth).
Sara makes it another week.
Unbelievable.
I'm picking Brian "How can I work fish into every dish" to win it. |

As I said before, none of them are truly "Top Chefs".
I think Casey might make it to the finale. Hung is too inconsistent, but he seems to have the most skills.
Brian has been pretty mediocre--I don't know if "under the radar" is going to get him into the finals. We'll see...
I'm stunned Sara has made it this far, though. |

***SPOILER FOR WEST COAST BELOW***
So Hung got it. Not really surprising at all, since he was the most technically skilled chef of the bunch. My wife and I were rooting for Dale, since he was the underdog and also could have used the $100 grand the most, IMHO. At least he put up a good fight and hopefully he'll land a good gig as a result of being on the show.
Good final episode overall. Impressive bunch of sous chefs (especially Todd English). We'll see if Hung becomes something big after this... |
