real quick can water based inks be dryed with a heat gun?

lots of waterbased ink sort of 'dyes' the fabric, as opposed to plastisol which is more like paint, in that its designed to cover the fabric. Thus why waterbased doesn't work so well on dark shirts, because dark fibers are hard to turn light.

You will need less heat then with plastisol, just make sure you are making the shirt hotter then your household dryer will make (which is how you can cure speedball, take it to the laundymat and put em in a big industrial dryer)

the only real test is to wash the shirt, if it's a light coloured shirt you will probably be fine, if it;s a dark coloured shirt you will probably get some cracking and whatnot because waterbased white sucks.

thanks alot i love this place.

im really happy with the out come this is the first time i have done multi colour.
its 3 paper stencils then a photo stencil over that, so they dont align that well but thats what i was aiming for.






also i printed these tote bags i was asking about.
