i grew up in NY (LI) and this type of thing happened pretty often. Some asshole thought it would be funny to say hey lemme try your board and then take off running with it. It didn't happen every day or anything but we used to skate at the mall sometimes and it happened there a number of times. Dudes had no idea that running away with some "little kid's" board would end up with him typically getting beaten by 10 or so 15 year olds swinging skateboards at him while he rolled around the floor begging for it to stop.. |

That's funny cause a similar thing happened to me after a SLAYER concert.
Me and some friends were on the L platform waiting for the train and this drunk guy starts talking shit to the 3 of us. We were just laughing cause he obviously had a set of golden nuts strapped on that night...anyway, we weren't gonna let his shit talking bother us. I mean c'mon we just saw Slayer play the entire Reign In Blood cd as theie encore!
Next thing I know this guy sucker punches my friend outta nowhere and breaks his glasses. So we handle business and as we're hitting the guy the tain pulls up (luckily cause someone might have ended on the tracks or the streets). Blah, blah, blah my fist was purple for a week or 2.
Back to the point - I kept thinking about what would happen if I saw this punk around town.
As it turns out I run into this guy at a bar a few weeks later. He hands me a flyer and was trying to get me to go see his band at the Fireside. But it didn't click that it was him until I got home and took a good luck at the bands picture on the flyer.
I'd say just squash that shit and let it go. Even if you get the best of someone chances are that you're still gonna fuck up your hands... |
