Here's a smartass one I intended for the skateboard park, but tested in the alley:

Quote: What might be a little more time/profit effective is if you came up with a design. Had a small run of decks screenprinted. maybe just the black out line. or 1 or 2 colors. then you could hand paint part of it to make each one a unique piece. sign and # them. If this works out do a second series.
between eBay and this forum you could probably sell out a short run rather quickly.
seconded !!
as for the stenciling, i'm thinking some guerillla art is exactly what my town needs thanks for the ideas (and the links) |

All nice work.
Teeohhemm--Where are the Room 101 guy and the screaming kid from? They both look familiar, but I can't place them... |

I posted them both on StencilRevolution.com,
maybe you saw them there - The kid is my
son Riley, and the room 101 guy I drew in photoshop.

here is something you might be able to pull off. They sell these for like 100 bucks which is crazy. A lower price and people would be all over them. Good Luck!

I would have to agree that if you love it that much get into the industry rep, sales or even in manufactururing for some companys. Thats how I broke into car audio. I love the hell out of it and after I busted up my hand I couldnt work construction anymore and thought what the hell been doing it for 10 years now and loving it |

Hmm. I'm guessing that I must have either seen them on SR, or possibly on your site when you first joined BR, or else I'm losing my mind...
Another possibility for the Room 101 guy is that I may have been thinking of some of the illustrations from a movie called "The Triplets of Bellville" that I saw a while ago. Good movie, excellent music. |

Well, I finally got around to painting a urinal in my alley on Saturday night.
It didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but the more I look at it (which I can't avoid doing, as it's visible from all 6 of my windows...), the more I think that the shitty dripping and underspray sort of makes it that much more appropriate.
I used that thick styrofoam-cored posterboard, and a satin spray paint (I suspect that this is the main reason for the dripping, but it was the only black spray paint I had and I couldn't get more as I was drunk and it was 3:00 AM). I didn't use a spray adhesive, which I now know that I should have, but I'm not sure how well the styrofoam posterboard would hold up to being removed from the wall if it were adhered there...
The wall itself has a very thick coat of paint on it, and has a rather bumpy texture as well, which probably didn't help things either.
These are pretty lousy pictures, (they're taken from inside my apartment, so there's two panes of glass and a screen in the way...), but I've been waiting for the sun to come out so I could get a decent pic, and I just got fed up with waiting.
I'm very happy with how the little piss-dribble mat at the corner of the wall and ground turned out though.
Any advice would be appreciated. |
