I know exactly what board you're talking about. My friend had one for a while.

There was a cornfield between our houses that we used to cut across when going back and forth, it was probably a little less than a half a mile wide at the part we'd cut across. If you were walking, this shortcut would probably turn a 20 minute walk into an 8 minute walk. One rainy spring day, we wanted to go from his house to my house. I think we were probably in third or maybe fourth grade at the time, but I'm not certain. Somewhere in there...

We walked from his house to the edge of the cornfield, and discovered that it was basically just super sloppy mud. We both had our skateboards, my Nash Executioner, and his Calm and Pleasant Sunset (or whatever it was called). We got the bright idea that we could still cut across the cornfield and not get our shoes all muddy by placing one of our skateboards in the mud, and then both standing on it, and then putting the other board in front of it, climbing on to that one, and then picking up the last one, on and on, making our journey three feet at a time (about as far as we could reach the last board and jump to the next board).

I think it probably took us at least two hours, and, of course, our shoes did not manage to stay clean either. Remarkably, I don't remember any significant damage to our bearings (that we noticed, at least...).

Stupid kids.
