so in the past two weeks, i have been skating the autumn bowl in brooklyn, and I am definitely converted. i tried it with my new school deck, and it sucked. Now I use my old school setup and it so fast and sooooo fun! I am usually a street skater..but thinking about kickflips seems silly right now. All I want to do is find bowls and skate the hell out of em. My question for you boys and girls is hip pads....i heard there are some that slide into your pants or underwear?. When i try to be cocky, the bowl gives me a friendly reminder, AKA...my hips are all gnarled. Anyone know where to get some or suggestions for brands, etc? ok

my son, who plays football, has this spandex like pair of shorts that his hip pads go into. those would probably work - they're not too bulky looking.
Bob Burnquist wears hip pads every once in awhile; don't know if the Birdman does anymore.. |
