Okay, so I can hear the flames starting already before I even ask the question. I always assumed that all vintage Grosso demons came with capital letters only, but I recently saw a pic of one that has the lowercase letters (like the reissue) but it was a definite vintage. I know they art was redrawn several times by Jim and his crew, and there are several iterations of many of the graphics from his heydey - but what is the deal on the demon? I'm sure the more serious of you know this one inside out, but I only have a part-time obsession, so I don't know this answer yet. |

The one you're talking about is the first draft of the graphic. It was produced before Jeff gave it his approval. The wings aren't symmetrical either. It had a few changes before it was officially released. Pretty rare deck. I'm pretty sure that's the story. Some details might not be true, but that's the jist of it. |
