Dear all, may I kindly ask you some questions regarding a board - Powell Hawk Claw - from 1989. I bought it complete, and used, in the early 90s from a friend. The friend has passed away, so I cannot ask him to elaborate on details. I found it again in my parents attic a week ago. Memories!!
- Which kind of trucks and wheels should I use?
- I intend to use is again for cruising, or is the board too valuable for everyday use?
- Value of the deck?
- There is a signature on the deck, but I have no clue who this could be? Any idea?
I bought it with the signature, and want to be sure I do not use a deck which might be of value due to a signature from a pro from back in the days.
Thank you very much for your help in advance!

Get some trucks and soft wheels on it. Not sure of the size of truck 169s ? |

yup, the graphic is thrashed but the wood might have some life left, so ride it. If the graphic was in good condition, it would fetch a couple of hundred bucks on ebay, up to 1K for a very clean specimen.
I agree on the 169 Indys. Either way, be sure you pick trucks that also have for the old school truck pattern (I think that's the case for the Indys). |

There are some 169s with some slimeballs in the sale section if I remember but not sure of bolt pattern you'd have to look/ask |
