Strats rule.
Surf music=strat=enough said.
You can't hide anything when playing a strat. If you're good, it will show. If you're not good it will show. Teles don't really compare. They might be good for chicken pickin, but that shits annoying. |

Offsets all the way. Jaguars and Jazzmasters are the best guitars around.
Strats are ok, just a little boring IMO. Like the most generic guitar style available.
Oh, and surf guitar? Come on man, the Jag was INVENTED for that shit! |

Meh- it just has it's place and tone- I rarely to never play mine, but if i needed that sound, its there
Goin to edit for fun with my youthful belief and dedicated to my old bandmate "magic or The Lord of the strings" and we've had the talk.
Fucking strat players are all trying to show how long they can jack off and people that want to watch are all voyeurs. I can appreciate surf for reverb and appreciate people knowing the math of the guitar. But Jesus Christ I dont want to be on stage with some solo stroking ego that can't wait to play the same dam. Thing in a different key. It's exactly the same every time a strat case is opened. It sure fills time in a five hour bar gig and gives me time to drink a few free beers.
Your math or speed may get some off but as a player, doesn't mean you feel anything more about the guitar than my muted, short fast fills or songs that I wrote and dont know if it ends on the 1st third or d minor diminished 13th.
...then I got a strat and can actually solo in controlled bursts... |
