I think the reason it’s tough to move is there isn’t any thing that screams it was Salba’s....
No special screen job
Not in a mag that I know of
Full grip
No cool sticker job
Just my thoughts. Looks like anyone from the 80’s could have road it imho. |

I’ve seen several personal rider decks of his, and he always had the right rail drilled. That’s a classic Salba setup. Look at any magazine shot from the 80s and I’m sure you’ll see what I’m saying. Anyways, I’m not discrediting the authenticity of this deck, but this one does not have the right rail drilled. If it is one of his, and it can be proven, then the price seems more than reasonable. Good luck brotha. |

my thoughts, exactly - I was also expecting a customized deck in the best Salba tradition (monochrome screen job as in most ads, single rail set-up, Indy stickers (on the rails of the deck!) and maybe one of them fancy 'skate-nazi' stickers,... )
I'm not questioning the authenticity either - but if you have proofs, you might want to include them right from the start. |

Danny’s a solid dude and surprised this is still around at $450 shipped.
I can vouch for Danny as certainly came from Salba and he did ride it but just not technically as his personal rider from day one. Salba gave it to one of his buddy’s who then set it up and put the SMA plane stickers that were on it (since removed) plus the screaming hand. Salba’s buddy ended up giving it back to him along the way and at that stage Salba did ride it for a bit.
Hope that clears it up alittle why it doesn’t look like most of his other ex riders. |
