We booked a trip to Seattle and would like to do some national parks. We've got five days there and would like to visit Olympic national park, Mount Rainier national park & Multnomah falls, Seattle city & Portland city.
Is this feasable by public transit or would we better rent a car for doing this?
Any help would be great.

Thx & cheers!

You have to rent a car for the Olympic peninsula. It's amazing out there.

The train is the best way to get from Seattle to Portland unless you want to see Mt St Helens in between. For all the parks you'll want a car

If you have a car for Multnomah Falls, take the old highway back to Portland. There are some awesome wwaterfalls that are right off the side of the road.

I gotta get up to Portland sometime soon. The city has a lot of strip clubs. It's been described as "Atlanta West" as far as those kind of things go.Gonna print out an itinerary and everything.

Car for sure. Train would be neat, but for the price of 2, one way tickets, (probably around $50) that would pay for more than a day of a rental car and then you could have the car to go where you want.
When you go to Multnomah falls, there is another cool place Close by.
I think it is called Larch Mountain. It's another tiny park, but you can go up a tiny trail to a lookout point where you can see 5 mountains from one spot. Rainier, St. Helens, Adams, Hood & Jefferson.

Ok I think we've got a plan!
It's gonna be a car and it's gonna be a busy scheduale as we only have 5 days to do it all but I'm looking forward to it.

Thx for all the tips, really appreciated.
Cheers!
