I have been trying to gather some information on a company called IMP Skateboards. All I have been able to come up with so far is they were located in Rosemead, Ca. sometime in the early to mid-70's.

I was curious to know how long they stayed in business, who owned the company, if they made their own decks, or was it just simply a retail shop that sold anything skateboard? Any additional information someone could provide me would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Richard Bumpus. president of the skateboard team which gives demonstrations to promote skateboard safety, directed the event.

Looks like they were a skate team, http://juicemagazine.com/home/omahone...rnia-free-former/

Which, in the Lords of Dogtown movie, I think they shot that contest scene at Imperial Beach, but I have no idea if the IMP name comes from there or something else

@grizzlyheart
My parents gave that board to my brother for his birthday back in 1976 or 1977. After my mom passed away in 2013, my brother and I were cleaning out their garage and he found the board up in the rafters. He was going to throw it away. So I took it. When I told him I sold it for $110 bucks he was kicking himself for not keeping it. I felt a bit guilty so, I decided to split it the money with him.
