We used to ride our old decks down hills in the winter. Tail first was the tech on that. |

I used to snowboard on a few trips to Cardrona, New Zealand and once at Mt. Hotham, Australia. I got to the stage of getting down an easy run doing turns without rag dolling myself. These days I stick to skating. I think snowboarding is an awesome sport and I really admire the guys & girls who can ride big mountains. Personally I missed the feel of wheels on cement and grinding etc plus there's the seasonal aspect unless you are lucky to live somewhere with permanent snow or travel enough. |

i like all three of the big board sports. skate. snow. surf.
i am open to the concept of hover too... that could be sweet if they could ever sort out the bugs.
downhill hoverboarding (ie: offroad) in summer could rock. like snowboarding, but without the snow. and not gay like those offroad boards. |

Snowboarding is fun...I just get bored quick and hate the cold.
Snowboarding...I just can't put my finger on why I get so irritated with the culture.......quite a few frat bros and rich kid goons with thousands of dollars of brand new, sick looking gear and they can't ride for shit.
It definitely feels like a rich kid sport....at least growing up in California |

But you guys can't talk about snowboarding? But talk about them? Hmm.
To ollie and 50 50 grind down a set on a skateboard is much more impressive on a skateboard then a snowboard. Because, of bindings, as I stated in the OP.
I understand this is a hard question to answer, if you want to beat the bush then fine. |

Joker ( ) There is a whole forum for snowboarding here. When new posts are made a skull shows up by the forum to show there's new content, if people are logged in.

As for snowboarding nothing against it. But as others have said, don't like the cold, expense and I don't care for Shaun White. |

More fun than skating, but also 100X the hassle of you're not loaded (cabin, etc). |
