Here in Amsterdam we love kroketten!
As far as i know we Dutchies are the only people eating them on the street as a snack.
kinda weird because those things stay piping hot for at least 5 minutes.
After that its still difficult to eat because they tend to collapse.. ending up a mess.
Just in case;
With mustard, no bun.

Didn't know that kroketten were street food. Gonna try that next time when I'm in Holland for sure. We use m in normal dishes with vegetables and meat usually. But I do love those things! 
For me it's French fries all the way! An no french fries do not come from France as the whole world thinks. |

With so many food trucks around these days there's plenty of "street food" to choose from.
My current favorite in the Bay Area is Pan con Chicharron from the Sanguchon Peruvian food truck.
(Pork loin sliced, fried yams, marinated onions in lime juice & cream de rocoto.)

FEBO is the best! My kids loved walking up and getting Kroketten, Nasi, and whatever else they shove behind the glass.. There is a place in MI that makes them... Getting ready to order some  |

| I believe it's a French roll as it's not sour at all and definitely softer than sourdough would usually be. |

Guess i have to stick to my kroket cause Peruvian food trucks are "kinda" hard to find around here.

Tried it.. proper good. 
Made it myself. pork, Peruvian style spices, grilled, on a soft bun. good stuff! |

Not a lot of street food down this way unless you include the way home kebab. Spent a couple of years travelling 15 or so years ago and about 6 months in South East Asia. Home of street food. Spent most of the time sitting in the gutter eating. Still have fond memories of the Pad See Ew and noodle soups. Plenty of chopped fruit in a bag and for the munchies... Picklets smothered in condensed milk and covered in sugar. I love Asia
