Oh and the documents he destroyed is the actual number of editions he sold of a poster he said was only 1,000 pieces or 10,000 pieces?
Already people are reporting there is tens of thousands of posters floating around of the first edition when there is to be only 1,000.
He started printing money but that isn't the crime, destroying records of how many prints he actually made is the crime because it was criminal evidence. He even trashed several computers in the process and attempted to reset Gmail clock. |

| I used to play pool with Shep and blaize Blouin in the basement of the bar I worked at in my twenties. My wife was going to RISD and Shep still had his key to the printmaking building. So most of his early stuff was made on RISD's dime. He had graduated. Always cool to me though.Was at the first skate demo that the first Posse sticker was ever tossed. |

He blew it, and confirmed my ideas regarding his ethics.
I recall you not being much of a fan Kray.
He got off easy considering the crime that he has been convicted of.
At least he has Bomit to distribute his stickers through the sticker community so they can put them up for him. 
Highly suspect at this point, claiming that he is anti-corporate anti capitalist, running an illegal advertising campaign for his brand. Using the streets in the exact same way that he criticizes other business for doing.  |

He tampered with evidence, erased hard drives, hid the actual numbers of how many Obama posters, makes millions off the AP photo and gets off with a hand slap and gives up 1.6 of the 7 million he made off Obama.

When starting my Masters thesis one of my possible arguments was that that advertising would become an entertainment tool and that outsider criminal graffiti would become a legitimate means of media advertising.
In 1996 this was laughed at and scoffed by my peers.
But those with an ounce of intelligence, decency can see that what Obey and others are doing is no different then commercial art, art for pay and a product masquerading as revolution, counter cool and like all mass appeal of outsider ideas it was co-opted from it's initial start.
I never believed in this Obey supposed art declaration, this manifesto if so why didn't he publish it THEN, when in art school in a free news paper.
Mode is the means....bullshit.
A lot of after the fact editing this guy likes to do.
Fucking liar.
Just all I want now is a felony conviction and then to see him on a no fly list. He could call Jason Jesse and they can compare manifestos.

I agree. Dude is all total greed! Never original, only commercial art masquerading as street art. When I first saw his shit years ago, thought how lame. Looks like a commercial design student's work who had million dollar dreams but was trying to be hard, edgy and street cool. His case goes to show you, if you get caught in a lie. Confess that shit. Trying to cover up lies takes down everyone from Presidents to shepards. |
