Yea roarockit might end up costing you a lot on shipping. I once asked on http://www.ncdsa.com under home-made boards and these guys found all these places of where to get veneers. These guys are serious board-builders carbon cores, vert-lam, everything, crazzy. Board building was just a little too complicated to do on such a low budget with low-rate tools. |

sorry man. I can't find one right now, but if i dig real deep I might be able to. Do you have a press right now, cause if you don't I'd say it might get a little expensive. Unless you use the roarockit bags, but they require a level of precision that leaves no room for error. |

I built it, The molds are made out of cement and the press is a table made of 4x4s and plywood with 5 clamps on it that put the pressure on the molds. I made the clamps out of really long bolts and 2" square steel tubing. its almost like the setup that Century skateboards had going...

I think it will work well. I'll post when I fing out for sure how it goes. |

I just started putting together something new for single or couple board runs at a time. My press is a metal and wood frame work (sort of a box) that holds the mold in place around a motorcycle lift I have. It puts out alot of pressure over a wide area due to its design, and should be more than enough to press boards. I will post more as it nears finishing, and if I ever manage to get my hands on maple, I will let you all now ho it works. I think it should work fine, and will be a good alternative press for little expense. It is foot pump activated by using a couple bottlenecks. |

I got a press in the works as well.
Kind of working on the mold and the press intermediately.
I got a hold of some veneers for a one-time shot. If it works, I'll have to buy larger quantities.
This whole method seems to be so secretive! It's taken me months and months of searching and research to get where I am. I'd like to see some of us working together and sharing notes. It's only gonna help us in the long run.... |
