Greetings fellow skateboarders. I purchased some Canadain Maple veneer and a roarockit vacum pressing kit (www.roarockit.com) in late august 2003. I also got two pints of expoxy and harderner. I purchased a roarockit styrofoam mold and also made a kinda crappy plaster mold myself. Well, to get down to the point I tryed to make three boards. The First two boards I tryed to lay up too many layers at once and didn't get enough pressure to make the boards come out looking like real skateboards. Then I figured out that you can get the layers to conform to the mold and start looking like a real skateboard if you lay up 3-4 layers at each time. So I tryed for a third time after dry-testing my 3-4 layer set up and ended up not getting a good seal do towards bad weather stripping sealing. I've spent so much time on this and am probably just not machine-skilled enough to produce a good board. But I know there are some people out there who are! I payed probably about $375 for all this total and am willing to part with the remaining parts to make the skateboards. If anyone is interested in buying approximently 60layers of CANADIAN MAPLE veneer (about 55 usable pieces, some of the other peices i cut down while trying to make a board or are unsuitable for board pressing), a vacum bag kit w/ a styrofoam street board mold and longboard mold (if you want the heavy crappy plaster mold then you can have it),and one pint of expoxy resin and hardener. I live in the Baltimore,Maryland region and it would probably be easier to meet up with whoever wants to buy this, but can ship to anywhere (all of this stuff together is heavy so shipping isn't too cheap). THANKS FOR READING. Make your offers.
