I was going to post that .. and backed away..
My gf Amy's (Amatice sp? this was 86 ish) family bailed with Shah and lived in South Pasadena. Um, never really got into their style of food, but WTF. |

Yeah Sticky.... There was a meat wrapped in a leaf that was really perfumeish and tastey, I am sure that was lamb.
The ladies were real cool, but a bit shy so pics did not seem like a good idea. They has this really good flat bread, that you scooped a yogurt based spread onto....that next to the caviar was really good. |

Gorged myself on that shit last night.
Chicken in pomegranate-based sauce = so good.
There are some advantages to living in an only 16% White town with a very very heavy Persian, Afghan and Indian/PK population. Good food and lots of used Mercedes' for sale!!!!

persian food rocks, lamb, rice with safron, flat bread, kabobs, the awesome whole chickens.... then the duck.... awww... i love that stuff. grilled tomatoes, onions, garlic, and super strong teas... with a uber cool CD on the jambox. lol.... really home feeling, even if i have know idea whats going on! i still feel welcome.
