Hi!This is my first post, I just found about this forum and I hope someone can help me out on this. I'm an illustrator and I run a screenprinte shop, I work mostly with bands and labels doing tour merch and I also print posters for artists. I just got a call from a gallery wanting to do some printed decks for a show. I tell you, I could do this for free!I love screenprinting and skateboarding, like Mike Vallely once said, was my first love since I started skating back in '88 so this is like a dream order. The thing is, after hanging up the phone,I realized I have no clue of how to make a screen for printing skateboards. I'm from Portugal and as you can imagine no one else I spoked to about this has a clue about it either. The only reference I have are some pictures in a couple magazines and a factory report on some old 411 video. I have a lot of doubts on how to the screen "fits" to the concave for example.Maybe this is a really simple thing to build and I'm just not looking at it right but I would really apreciate if anyone could give some pointers on this. Thanks |

Thanks! Those pictures are a great help. Now I need some templatesfor the screens...I've e-mailed artof skateboarding.com about it.Just one more doubt:the registration is made moving the board and not the screen right?I cant really tell for sure by the pictures but the screen doesnt seem to be able to be adjusted after placed on the table for there are no pins or clamps... |
