for the past 3 years i have been (knowingly) using inkjet vellum (16lb archival quality inkjet vellum). it has worked perfectly with our shop's laser printer. until now. i ordered some more vellum, same stuff, and the toner won't even go on the paper now. it's like it doesn't adhere or stick to it.

sooooo i called the company which i bought it from (www.gocip.com) and they said they'll look to see if they have any vellum available for laser printers. that was a week ago. i called again today, they said the same thing. "we'll call you RIGHT BACK!", still no call.

i'm gettin' really really low on the vellum that does work for me.

does anyone know of or use a good quality vellum for a laser printer? where can i get it? i'm in canada.

for ink jet papers, I believe there is a drying agent applied to one side.

Does the laser printer still print on your old stuff?

I think there is also a Fuser that can go bad on printers. And it's probably a lot harder to fuse the toner to vellum.

it works fine on the last vellum i ordered.

i don't have a vast knowledge of printers, but xerographic media should work in a laser printer, right?
it says monochrome inkjet and xerographic applications on the label.

although i haven't tried the new pack of 8.5"x11" vellum, the 11"x17" vellum isn't working for me.

i don't know if this matters but the 8.5"x11" is 16lb, and the 11"x17" is 17lb.

ScreenFlex has Kimoto Laser Film I believe. I use an Epson at my shop so we get the inkjet film, but you can check them out; good people, fast delivery, we regularly get cookies and stress balls from them in orders, they used to send chocolate bars . . .
