I used to live on a lake down the street from there..hell about a half mile from there we grew up skating the A and P plaze, I even ran a skateshop out of my moms shop there..

is this done? it looks like it will be another great addition to the collection of parks growing here in Ct/RI. The say Newport RI is finally gonna get a real park as well |

yeah looks like a serious flow park...lots of speed lines.
I don't so much mind the dual use but I'll never skate with bikes again collisions are too painful at my age. |

I went by today to see what a pour looks like since though spent nearly a week helping Jeff at Whiterock last year making forms I was never able to see a pour. There were 6-7 guys for the final concrete pour. The last feature is is burly...and I swear the wall is 10' with 6' quarters on either side of it. Overall the park seems balanced ans less Goofy footed than other parks Paprocki has had a hand it (see Sprage and Waterford). Everything slopes gradually to the big wall but its the bowl and spine that will most likely hold my attention. Sadly it's 40 miles from my house so I won't be up to skate it as much as I would like to. |
