I've yet to attempt to do a downhill bomb run on a board that offset trucks(one mounted on the back past the flat of the tail) and was wondering if anyone can give me some insight into the benefits and features.

check out http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/ and search the forums on wedging. Im thinking the senario you have discribed is dewedging which makes the rear truck trail and turn less.

think I can remember a thread on here somewhere but not sure where.
