Oh, and incidentally that photo I posted above is from that square where all the kids where skating the ledges when you visited.

Oh man that looks killer!
I hope they are going to add a bowl riders stop in Stockholm and not steal the stop in Malmo..
It is Stockholm right?

either way.. that place is awesome

@steve-g
Yeah the kids weren't really open and as i already have skated it, i thought i made a complaint to the officials as annoyed Tourist. Serves'em right, those damn bastards!

Seriously the cafe in the picture, and opposite from it are stairs where the kids skated. If i remember right, there were some shops/cafe bar whatever too. They probably complaint it would hurt their Tourist income i guess. If the kids are clever, they should still skate there. Those new things they have installed look like they were made for 5-0 grinds, ha!

Maybe you can sneak in the new park and make some test rounds?

A buddy from me might want to torture himself too and i'm thinking to tour sweden next year again. With all the new Parks it looks like it's gonna be awesome.

4 weeks?, 3 weeks?, hm, that looks like a new challenge!

Any reason for going north of the big lake (Vttern)? I suppose it would be the best choice if you wanted to avoid the towns ending with 'kping'! On the way down the East coast you could think about visiting land from Kalmar. That's the area that the Soviet uboats used to lurk in.

That square is still skated by the kids - they just spend their time bailing kicklips now! It's actually pretty cool to bomb the hill into that square and then carve around to loose the speed. Best at night as it's lit up and the kids are home

Bailing kicklips? Man, they already did that in the summer, time for something new! Kids, tss..

Something wrong with 'kping'? Well i didn't have made any real route planing made yet. I have to check it with the Cycle routes, less car traffic roads and see what tourist crowded places are to avoid. In such places it gets expensive really fast, you know. On the end it will probably look like a zigzag route again i think.

Has anyone heard any recent info on this place?
I did a search but could not find any "concrete" info.
Seems like it is still pending.

According to (politician):

they have had technical problems, but are working on them...

When something big happens you will probably see it here even without reading swedish:

And here the langauge is often english though not just about highvalley skatepark, but worth a look if you are traveling.

in 2 weeks I'm gonna be moving to stockholm, sweden for 6 months living right near Stockholm University. Don't know anyone and would be down to skate with some people!

My name is matt and am originally from western Massachusetts. come skate the chicopee bowl.

I'd be the one skating the bowl 30 seconds into the clip
