The seller of the waffle hobie (hampitup) specializes in restored hobie super surfers and the likes since the last couple of years. Top decals and usually the wheels are reproductions only the lettering are applied stickers or waterslide or something and not engraved into the surface. Boards are usually sanded and refinished with wood filling where neccessary. They may look pretty in the pics and his description is wage as stated but more often than not the buyers tend to relist the items. What whoever spent almost $1000 on one does is beyond me but if you look at his other listings and seller history not to mention his name it's a dead giveaway. |
