I grew up in Alhambra near Lance Mountain's house and skated his ramp quite a bit. One summer he sold me one of the first two Lance Mountain Mini models. There was a red one and a black one, and I ended up with the black one. While Lance Jr. got the red one.
I'm not really interested in selling this deck (unless Lance wanted it back, or for the right price...) but I am really curious what one of these "Experimental" PP's are worth. It's used, and even cracked.
Any idea?

The board dates to '86 or '87. I bought it from him the same summer they shot Animal Chin. It was also the same summer that we rebuilt his half pipe (from version 2 seen in Future Primitive to version 3). I was younger than Lance (13-14 at the time) and he wanted a younger rider to try out the mini, since he wasn't ever going to use it. But I do remember him saying "Don't let Stacy see you with that!"
It's "boneite", and stupidly I cracked the board in front of the rear trucks blasting out of the 10' bowl at Upland pipeline.
Here's the ad for the board. I was present at this photo shoot. Stacy took this shot in front of the liquor store at the bottom of the hill down the street from the Mountain Manor.

Awesome. Put it in the VALUE OF thread and you will most likely get a lot more views. Cool board and story. OOO |
