| OK... I'm thinking 3' tall by 4' wide with 8' transition. My question is what size ply should I use for the sides 3/4" or 1/2"? and will two layers of 1/4" ply be adequate for the surface? |

| 4 feet wide ? Man that's small. For that small, 1/2"should be fine. |

| I used 1/2 for the sides on mine and had 2 layers of 1/4 for the surface for a while. 1/8 masonite on top of that will do work as well. 4' will be quite narrow though..how wide is the space you're building in? |

1/2 on the sides should work. 2 layers of 1/4 should work for riding surface as long as your 2x4 supports are 12" or less apart. I've done a layer of 1/2" with a layer of 1/4" and it works better.... but as always the thicker the better - and more quiet.
4' wide is really small. I have a 3' tall 8' wide and it can get even small. It's fun tho. And just small enough to be portable. |
