I agree the old crew needs to get out more. I'll be skating in DC this weekend but we should do a Vermont trip to the Stratton bowl. Or something. I also want to check out the Hudson deal.

I'm planning on being in Stamford Sunday morning. (I actually go most Sunday mornings! haha)

It has been a really long time since the old crew got together.

If you plan on hitting Hudson - let me know - I'm 25 min away. I'm typically there at least every Thursday evenings.

I took my daughter to the playground next to the pool this morning. there was a crew there from a company called Aqua Masters draining, cleaning and painting the pool. It is gleaming and begging to be skated.

Since I don't take these kinds of risks anymore and I really want to see this pool skated...I'm giving up the location. It's a highly visible area with basketball/tennis courts and baseball/soccer fields, in use probably from sun up to sundown. But, I'm sure some of you skate misfits (yeah, I'm looking at you Groton crew!) will be willing to hop the fence when you see the pool up close. That back wall is amazing. Kinda reminds me of the Mega-Ramp.

There's probably a week or so of opportunity (assuming they don't fill the deep end later today when the paint dries?) If any of you skate this thing you must bring a camera and post pics. I will personaly give a stack of old decks to anybody that gets a grind up (photo evidence of course). Good luck!

Mills Pond Park - Canton, CT (near rt. 44)

oh and...there's also a pretty decent modular skatepark about 200 yards from the pool

jay, check this pool again, to make sure its still kosher.

im planning on taking a day off this week to go and hit it.

plugs around? need a generator? im planning on bringing lights, and getting it early evening with a small-medium crew.

maybe ask the pool guys when theyre planning on filling it?
