Anyone still ride them? I remember some article somewhere ripping on launch ramps, however I would love to ride one if I had a place to build and store one.

Anyone have any pics of their old or newer launch ramps?

I wish we had photos of the launches we used to ride back in the day.

Those are great to have, you can cruise them around on top of your board or just throw them in a pick up and have a ready to go session wherever you stop.

After I watched this:

I built this:

...no plans, just built it. Little high though, thinking of cutting it down a little.

Don't cut it down just hit it with a lot of speed!
The faster you hit a launch the easier the tricks are to land.
The locals here have a few launches used for contests and what not, some times its a ring of fire like last weekend at the Pro and sometimes its a highest ollie contest.
I can usually smoke any of them on distance because of my long board set up, not really fair seeing how my wheels are 70mm.
launch ramps are fun as hell, everybody needs one.

We organized an old school bowl contest last sunday and we held a launch ramp session on the sides ... lots of fun !
but kinda hard on our old achilles and knees on the long haul ...

I'm tryin to build one. Did you guys use just like 1/4" ply for the face, 1/2" for the sides? Tryin to make it light, I got stairs to walk it up!
