Ok,
since I am far away, I was wondering which compaines use particular wood shops.
For Example my Pocket Pistol , House of Kasai (new) and Hosoi (new) stuff wood is very simuliar
especially their shapes and Concaves and the quality of the graphics.
The tails have been second to non and enjoy any of the decks straight away, never a period of getting used to needed. The great wheel bases, an 8.25 deck with 14.5 and more is just what us older guys need to get down on the width, skinnier but stable as hell and beautiful to lock into smiths on.
My Black Label stuff over the years has been a little inconsistent. Some of the emergency wood is good and some at times warps. I noticed on the Alive Series that they were made in China. The latest Grosso seems to feel fine again (8.5) and its US made.
If anybody has info on who makes each companies wood, please post up the info. I would be keen on trying some other brands that arent as popular if they were sourcing their wood from the same mobs.
Thanks

8.25 w/ 14.5 is my best ride too- I really dig the Black Label 8.25 shape but they are inconsistant. I had a comitted series Adams that was US made and it lasted well. New chinese Hensley=soggy after three sessions.

Here's a hopefully up to date list of some. Keep in mind that even the same OEM manufacturer has different molds and shapes/materials.

Correct if needed:
PS Stix= PPS, Hosoi, Kasai, Black Label, some Element (fiberlites),
some Alien/Habitat. Some stereo?Some Blueprint?

NHS (Wisconsin still?) Creature,Santa Cruz

Watson- all tum yeto brands (Toy, Foundation). SMA (at least the Fiberlam)

South Central- Coda, Bacon, Merde, 5Boro

Chapman- Zoo york (?), Shut?

Powell makes their own.

Pennswood-Traffic (in my opinion best wood out right now)

ABC- Acme/Scarecrow and smaller companies.

Natural MFG.- Natural, Cape Fear, Saturday skateboards, smaller companies&shop boards

Black Box (I don't know the OEM) Zero/Mystery/Slave

Deluxe (OEM name?) Anti/Real/Krooked. Creation?

China-everybody else.

There is a difference between the popsicles and "the other stuff".
Add another one another to the list:

Watson - G&S

Bareback does Deluxe, Black Box, & Kayo. Bareback maintains an office in Vista, CA so they can claim to be "US made" but all their decks are pressed in Mexico. It comes and goes but sometimes customs forces them to put the "Hecho en Mexico" on each deck and these companies just take the stickers off.

Watson is now owned by Tum Yeto and, obviously, does Tum Yeto and a lot of specialty decks, usually anything involving any glas, reverse camber, or the ceramic weaves like SMA's "Blackbirds".

PS Stix american made decks are easy to spot with the laser engraved serial numbers.

Not too up on decks, but that's what I know.
