I'm on the fence.
I think it's very cool to recognize those that have gone the extra mile for the community etc.
But on the other hand, these are folks that don't do it for any accolades, they do it because they care. And what about the people that do things behind the scenes that don't make public what they do? (not saying any one has been blowing their own horns by any means)
Seems a little clique-ish. Or maybe a merit badge dangling out of reach? Are demerits next? Should we compose a pledge? Maybe an anthem?
I certainly applaud everyone that has helped anyone on this board, or in any other walk of life...
But this is kinda...
