Hey everyone, it's been a year or two since I've posted on here, but I guess I'm back.

Anyways, I now go to college in NYC. I've heard some rumors about some ditches across the river in Jersey. I was wondering if anyone knew about these ditches. You could PM directions to the ditches to me if you don't want to post directions here on the forum, if the ditch is kinda low profile. Keep in mind that I don't have a car and I only have my board and public transportation to get to the ditches.

I am also totally down for meeting new people and sessioning the ditches with anyone.

Go out to the Bethlehem/Allentown/Reading, PA areas. There are lots of them. In NJ there are some 1970s vintage ditches around Basking Ridge along the top of a ciff line on the south side of the highway ... I can't remember what exit but the word I last heard was that its a bust - homeowners within eyeshot. I may have read about it in the ditch section at ncdsa.com. I skated that ditch back "in the earlier part of the day".

You might do a search at ncdsa. Good luck. Better yet, they're making these conkreek skateparks like in Stamford, CT and Sayreville worth checking out. Same with Owls Head Brooklyn. You will not find many ditches in the northeast. You can take metro north to Stamford, in April.

Yeah, I went to Owls Head a couple of time earlier this year and the last time I went they said they close for the winter after thanksgiving.

I take it that Stamford is closed during the winter. Which stop off of Metro North is Stamford?

The stop is the second (first after 125th street) depending if you are taking an express train to Stamford, or a local. Then from the station, the skatepark is within skating distance from the train station (my friends and i take the train and skate to the park several times a week). But, you gotta wait till the spring to go, which kinda sucks, but whatever.

I grew up in Jersey. One night my girlfriend wanted me to kiss her "where it stinks". So I drove her to Perth Amboy.
