According to a good source. The work should be underway in the spring. Thats about all I know. Although I should add that the conservancy group comissioning the skatepark hired a consultant who spent a day looking at Stamford (and talking to city folks).

i know who you are talkin about billy. I think atleast, he was wearin knee pads, had a creature deck and blasting well over the pool coping in the deep end. I remember he was there with another guy one day, from boston and talkin about the park, definatly consulting.

You're talking about Eastie. I used to see him a Maximus all the time during the college years. Everthing he does is pretty much flawless.

Chad it will be rad.

And Popp, in reality there is no "peterson matter".

All that matters is there will be more concrete. And my brother has an apt. in Boston.

shit. the Lynch Foundation donated 500,000 dollars to the skatepark project. this seems to like it will be happening in the near future..........

it looks like as of right now, they are gonna use Wormhoudt. they made louisville and santa cruz, to name a couple. they are obviously legit. But are they gonna switch to grindline, or what?

Well, that was back in the earlier part of the day. At the end of the day they signed up with Grindline, not Wormhoudt. The existing design is probably not happening.

So is it not possible that they could use the existing Wormhoudt design but have Grindline do the construction? I have seen more than a few parks where the designer is not necessarily the builder. Just wondering.

Either way this is fan-freakin-tastic news! My fear was that due to some kind of bullshit Massachusetts union law some local concrete company would get the job and turn a potential skate paradise into a giant hunk of shit.

Just think, if this all goes according to plan, Boston is going to have its own version of Louisville - possibly by next summer!!
