Concrete, my wheels are hard to beat.
Ramp?
SPFs are great unless dust is an issue...that's where I shine.
The thing comes to profiles and what you like...
ASTHETICALLY?
When I ride a nice BDS pig...fuck, man!! those BLACK DEATH wheels are so fucking nice. They look all plasticky...like some Nash bullshit...oooh, but don't let the sheen fool ya..they haul.
I want to try some of the Blackholes...Ron rules, his bearings are bad ass...and I am wanting an in between size...the profile is right.
SO, it's kinda preference...
I have ridden the SPFs, and they are fast...I didn't dig the profile..so, for me it was an asthetic issue, and a longing for the original SPEEDWHEEL..so, that's why I rolled my line of wheels out.
I'd say, try a few different set-ups of your bros, think about what profile you like, and the application.
All the wheels mentioned are top shelf.
I ride my stuff, I ride Powells softer/ bigger wheels (68s/90), I like the 3Dms for slalom, and I want to try the Alligators, BDS on my pigs, and they all have their virtues.
I'm almost as much of an equipment whore as Olden!!!  |

Those wheels the Gonzfather was selling a while back actually grip pretty damn good...never would have thought it.
I really dig the Rainskates Yellow Jackets and other rainskates wheels I have.
Have some Blue Tunnel Rockets that are really grippy, but kinda strange to ride on.
Really like my Shitfire 63.5's, and these Gravity Street G's that I came up with somewhere.
I know that I'll never bother mounting a set of spitfires on anything I own again. Maybe it's just me but those wheels dont' grip for shit. |

I love the way they slide though. But I hate the way they flatspot.
And although I have a large arsenal of slides, these days grip is critical. I can't afford to get hucked. So I make up for the lack of slideability with balls out speed. Shitty's wheels have been a big part of that (and I can get them to slide on some surfaces when I want them too). |

When it comes to an issue of grip I always fall back to my Rainskates wheels - even the 100a Stingers grip and they are a lot faster than the yellow 98a's.
But if its dry and smooth (but not shiny) BDS Black Death and Ron's Blackholes are hard to beat - damn fast and they do grip for hard wheels.
My 62mm Ron's Blackholes have been a real surprise, very fast and they do grip on a narrow wheel (the narrowest I have). Another home run from Ron. |

| SPFs are slip-out death on masonite/skatelite. Shitfires are grippy and fast; but one of my wheels didn't roll true. Your mileage may vary. Rainskates stingers are the wheel to beat for me: precision cores, fast, hard, and grippy. |

| Nobody in the industry has precision cores. Ron comes the closest. But unless the core is CNC'd to the tightest tolerances and the urethane then lathed to spec, it's not precision. Not even close. |

Have examine mine and see if the core is machined, anmd machined within tight tolerances, or extruded. If they are tight, there's still the lack of lathed roundness.
That said, I like my Gyros�but they are not truelly precision. |
