Depends on how you set the steel coping and what shape the cement coping is.

the steel coping was put in just like any steel coping would be put in. and the pool coping is just normal pool coping.

Steel coping can be wielded in or bolted in.

From your posts I would recommend not doing anything to the ramp because you will ruin it...

yeah, its bolted in. maybe its not such a great idea, we should re-think it and will most likely decide not to do it.

Build and extension with pool coping.

I was asking what the steel coping was attached to, what size it is, how it was mounted and where, exactlyeveryone does it slightly different.

There's at least 10 varieties of pool coping that are very different from each other.

I'd suggest you follow mikebu's suggestion.

It should be pretty easy depending on the size of the pool coping you bought. Take the deck sheet and your normal coping off. Put a piece of block on and see how it is going to sit and where you can attach it to the ramp. It's best if the whole block is sitting on a flat surface. Otherwise they'll tend to break. You might have to adjust your decks depending on the type of blocks you bought. If the block are bigger than the copping you had on you might just have to add another layer of thin plywood for the deck layer to meet flush. If the blocks are smaller you might run into some problems. You might have to lower the deck slightly or the coping will be sunk in, which sucks.

To attach the blocks I suggest liquid nailing and blotting the bocks in place.
