1: so I can frontside 180 in a mini but in order to fronstide AIR... should I learn to FS indy? CORRECTION: should I learn to grab indy in the mini first? I guess I got my answer... i swear I've seen guys air without any grab but what the fuck would I know.

2: it all happens so fast, what's the secret to those high lofty sorta slow airs?

Don't make me kill you. There's no such thing as a FS Indy. Indy-Air is always backside. And don't even think of qualifying it as a "grab".

thanks for the GREAT help. definately the advice I needed.

I guess people always grab when they do frontside airs..? I though maybe I'd just pop one out, small enough I wouldn't need to grab but since that isn't even skateboarding !?!?!?

what a fucking deluxe way to start a trick tip thread. fucking thanx.

Not to sound like a smartass, but I'd recommend re-watching the Bones Brigade video show, keep your eyes on Tony in the Keyhole bowl. He's puliing some beautiful frontside no-handed "airs" above the coping. I guess you'd call that simply an ollie, but they're sweet.

Now, help my memory, is this how they stack up?

Backside, front hand, toe edge = Mute
Backside, rear hand, toe edge = Indy
Backside, front hand, heel edge = Backside
Backside, rear hand, heel edge = (Nothing/Not done)

Frontside, front hand, heel edge = Lien
Frontside, front hand, toe edge = ???
Frontside, rear hand, toe edge = Frontside
Frontside , rear hand, heel edge = (Nothing/Not done)

Also, is the stinkbug both hands, and is it frontside, backside, or both?

that's what I was talking about... oliies that are airs that are frontside... whatever, these guys are always splitting hairs in my posts. i don't mind being corrected but at the same time...

*no idea on the grabs, i obviously don't know what I'm talking about... FUCK, and I just apologized for being such a bitch and here I am bitching again.

Wouldn't that be considered Stalefish?

Frontside, backside, back hand, front toe = crail
Frontside, backside, front hand, front toe = mute

I just watched that segment again, I forgot Tony was a goofyfoot, so most of what I remembered were actually backside ollies, but there is 1 frontside he does, just before the McTwist.

You may go to YouTube to view the video by clicking below...
YouTube Video

The backside ones show really well how he positions his body (0:27 and 1:22), the frontside not so much (1:56), but I'd say it's a good overview, overall.
