Printing 1 color transparency films?

I need to print some 11x17" one color designs on transparency film with my new Epson R1800 but the ink just keeps running off the film no matter what i do. I usually use my laser to print my film but the output is only 8.5" inches wide I need bigger. Anyone know anything about the Epson R1800 and printing film?

this may seem like a dumb question but are you printing on the right side?

most of the time only 1 side of clear film is coated

best way to tell is to lick your finger and stick it to a corner..
if it sticks it's coated
slides off it's not

Switch to vellum. It's a paper transparency with a matte finish that works just as well as acetate transparencies.

you might be experiencing a dye vs pigment problem. Dye ink won't set on a pigment designed film. And visa versa. I've never had any luck with vellumn
