Hey,
Does anyone know if there are any skate parks in Phuket, Thailand?
I know it was the site for some X-games 1998 but beyond that...
I'm going to be there for a couple of days and wondering whether to bring my board or not.
Thanks,
Victor |

whenever you go to asia..just bring your board. Almost all asian country have skateshops, skateparks, and tons of good spots...
Here's a few country that have a skate scene : Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Philippines, Thailand, Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong
No skate scene here at Vietnam, Mynmar, Laos yet.... |

I went there back in April! I didn't bring my board - and in this case - I didn't miss any opportunities!
The beach was beautiful - though super hot - 90's + humidity..
Clearly - there are no street skaters in Phuket - otherwise this curb would have been all marked up!
I did find some surfers struggling with some 4 foot waves!
"Tsunami" means something different to the people of Phuket than the people at Rainskates!
My next stop was Taiwan where I got to ride on one of these!

Yeah i know i have sign up in this forum since 2003 but was kinda busy with work and had no time to post here...
yeah i'm from MALAYSIA (just next to Thailand). Can bring u to some skatespots (http://www.skatemalaysia.com/klspots.htm) or skateparks near by my area
Bukit Kiara Indoor park (http://www.skatemalaysia.com/files/kiara2.htm)
Shah Alam Concreate park
(http://www.skatemalaysia.com/ShahAlamXPark.html)
There's a lot of skatepark in Malaysia and have it in almost every states. I think from 13 states maybe 2 states don't have a skatepark yet.
It would be fun if you can visit Malaysia from Thailand and then go straight to visit Singapore skate scene. Just take a bus or train from Thailand to Malaysia and from Malaysia just get a bus to hit Singapore.
Looking forward to see you.. |
