where i live they outlaw backyard "halfpipes and quarter pipes". so i figure that if i build a backyard fullpipe they won't be able to do anything about it, haha (other than pass another law). has anyone thought about cementing a small quarter pipe into their driveway? |

Here's something we've been working on this Spring... 8' high, 20' wide, 12' of flat, 3" vert. Just finished the platforms yesterday...

My ghetto garage ramp. 2 footer, ~5ft trannies, 8 feet of flat...low ceilings make for fun times!
Putting the first tranny together
Transitions all together. Leveling..or getting as close to level as possible
Framing the flat. Gives you a good idea of the size of the area.
Skate!

Total cost was around $300 or so. I highly recommend doing it if you've got the space in the garage. That space measures around 11x17 and the ramp pretty much fills it in. I've seen ramps in smaller spaces but you really start to sacrifice flatbottom in anything under 20' I would say. |

right on, the space i'm looking at is 12' across but only half is 20' long, the other half is 15' long, it would end up staggered at one end, guess i'll have to move |

Hell..staggered at one end might make for some fun times! It's all about using the space you have to its fullest. Put a bank to wall on one side or bowl it off. Bunch of stuff you can do. |
