I contacted them.... they sent out credit application ....
Filled out the application. Attached to the application is a memo that stated that I had to make $100,000 in orders a year.
Yeah right - I sent it in anyway.
Never heard back.
Thanks for supporting skate shops.

Thats the wrong app. You need to contact the local Nike SB rep. The app you got was for regular Nike stuff.
I had to call their customer service, get transferred to 3 other people before I finally found the local rep.
I talked to him last week again and they are still not opening any new accounts, at least not around here. They are "gauging" the demand and their distribution to see if they want to open more accounts.
Also be careful not to mix Nike 6.0 and Nike SB, they are still two seperate "lines" according to everyone I talked to. Nike 6.0 can be found at Zumiez and those kinds of shops, but Nike SB cant. Supposedly. |

What is the difference between the 6.0 and SB anyway?
I specifically told them I was a skate shop. And even put that on my app. I asked for a local rep and they never got me a name. All this, and they never even contacted me ... EVER.
There was a guy on this forum that kind of changed my mind about carrying Nike becuase he worked there ... then I tried to deal with them. Screw em ... the company is too big. I'm a small young shop. They won't waste their time with me anyway.
Besides - I'm placing a pre-order for the Drunk BS lows! |

Yeah they sent me that app as well. I saw the 100k thing then threw it away. I then called Nike and had them forward me to customer service for Nike SB and it went a lot better. I think I got the CS number off their Nike Biz site:
http://www.nike.com/nikebiz/nikebiz.jhtml?page=37
Nike 6.0 and Nike SB are similar but Nike 6.0 is their generic action sports lifestyle brand that is more for mainstream "lifestyle" shops. The SB are better made shoes, more padding, better stitching, better insoles, etc. They are more of a premium shoe than 6.0 and only available to core skateshops. The Nike's you see at Zumiez are the 6.0 version I guess.
I think they have different styles as well. |

I went to the only shop around here that carries Nike SB. The owner told me that when approved they start sending you whatever they want you to have in various sizes and not a small quanity. If you sell them all or not, you still have to pay for them. No control what so ever. |
