our graphic artist was...let go. that leaves me as the head of the art dept. the only thing is, before she left she didn't show me how to use the plotter. from what i hear it's easy once you know how to do it. i know a little bit about it. it follows nodes when cutting. i know the difference between the materials we use. i have an idea of how to set it up.

but what i need to know is how to run the program and the plotter. we use the WinPCSign Letter 12.0E program.

any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

You might be better off using Illustrator or Corel Draw to compose the artwork, then import it into the sign program... or figure out if the plotter has a printer driver that's compatible with the other programs.

Find and read the manuals for the plotter and the program... painful but better than trial and error. If you skim the manuals a couple times, I'll bet some important stuff will jump out at you.

Have you ever done vector graphics? Start out with a simple project... but I'm sure you'll figure it out fast if you are on deadline!

yeah i work with vector art.

pretty much what i mainly need the plotter for is cutting out 2"-10" numbers or names for jerseys. so it's nothing too complex.

i figured i'd have to read the manuals sooner or later. i should get on that.

Sounds pretty easy, I bet you could figure it out by printing out a big '69' to iron on your own shirt.
