I have a sector 9 bomb hills longboard with 71 mm wheels. I want to get larger diameter wheels so i can get higher top speed and coast longer. I want to know what would be the optimal size. |

Try something in thte 76mm range. They should fit under there without too much trouble. |

76mm Abec 11 Gumballs would be my vote. You can get them in the pink reflex fomula too. |

You cant figure out your optimal wheels based on your deck it depends and your weight, riding style, weather conditions, how many turns you'll do, wht type of turn, how steep the hill is and he quality of pathment.
The deck is irrelevant |

I would reccommend sector nine goddess of speeds in 78a 76mm, abec 11 gumballs in 78a, or even those landyachtz hawgz wheels. i personally wouldn't go bigger than 76mm for cruising, cause you may or may not feel the difference in ride height, but bending down more while cruising isn't all that fun. |

Not to mention the added potential for wheel bite with the larger wheels.
FWIW, the trend of huge wheels is pretty much over as far as downhill racing goes. Most guys are back to riding 70 to 76mm wheels. Once you get to that size, going larger isn't going to effect top speed much - air resistance is your biggest enemy. |
