this happened when i printed off a copy of a graphic i'm working on. some nodes are causin' trouble in it. how do i fix this? i remember this happening to stuff that our last graphic artist was doing but i can't remember how she fixed it.
note: it's the giant triangle that shouldn't be there.

I'm assuming this is happening in CorelDraw. I have seen this before it is usually caused by an split/open node or nodes (meaning not closed) or a set of rogue nodes. It's usually simple to fix and trackdown:
1. Zoom In on the end points of the triangle
2. Switch to the node tool
3. Select nodes in the area and see if a node is not closed. If you track it down to an open node find the other open node and drag them together and they will automatically close the gap and become one node instead of a split node. That should remove the triangle.
Another way to see what may be happening is to switch the view from "Enhanced View" to "Basic Outline" that will allow you to see only the outlines and node paths.

you are correct in assuming this is corel draw.
before i posted this i had tried to find the problem. there's not too many nodes in this graphic so it's fairly simple to locate the three points on the triangle. the problem is...i can't find one that is open. i've been staring at it for an hour or so on 'wireframe' (basic outline) and i just don't see it. thanks for the advice though. i appreciate it. i'll probably be posting in this section more and more since i've been 'promoted' to graphic artist at our shop. it's usually little things that i need to figure out.
i've been self teaching myself graphic design for awhile and i'm constantly learning. so any advice anyone can give me, i'll be happy to take it. |

well i figured the problem out. although i wasn't able to find any rogue nodes, the problem started when i resized the graphic. so i shrunk it by about 0.5" and it seemed to correct itself. |
