I'm sure this has been debated before but I didn't see it.
I'm sure somebody will want to lash out against this but perhaps the Forum will be mature.....
I'm new here but not on the web nor to skateboarding.
Why doesn't this Forum have a provision for Classifieds that requires a price? It still allows people to make offers.
But,...
"Shoot me offers" allows an item to be in limbo and offers used against the potential buyers. Like,..."so and so is offering me more..." etc.
Why not just list a price?
Seems very genuine to do that.
Most of us like cars and most car Forums require a price on cars and parts.
Thoughts..... |

There are always folks that either don't know the value of what they have (and can't be bothered to post it up in the value section) or want to get as much out of their item as possible and would never put a value on their item for fear of missing out on some cash.
There are also those decks that come up so infrequently or are so rare that the value is highly subjective and may be worth little to some but a lot to others. Those items also don't get much input from the value section because the value is highly subjective.
I am a fan of up front pricing for most things, but I definitely understand when a deck value can be subjective and needs to be offers only. Those looking to squeeze out every dollar from their item I tend to avoid. |

East Coast pretty much said it all....
didn't used to be like that, seems like even on common decks people want offers. I avoid those for sale threads because a decent offer to me, might be a 'lowball' offer to the seller who thinks their/insert common Powell/Santa Cruz/Vision deck is worth $2500
You want offers, take your shit to ebay |

I still laugh where late 2000's FP reissues are actually bringing in more than an NOS FP Mini. saw a reissue go for 360... wtf... also saw a mini XT go for 300! doh! |
