I think Gator only beat hawk a few times in coontests in the early 80's before it changed from about 86 to Hawk and Hosoi, then Gator fightin it out with phillips etc for 3rd spot.

Gator ripped - had a clean fluid style, but he didnt have the big bag of tricks that made you a contest winner back then (read big 'bio' airs).
